I need replacement aligned.

I need to see if I can get replacement trays. Mine went through the garbage disposal. I had Invisalign done several years ago. My dentist office is closed. I was on hold for 40 minutes, then I got disconnected.

Thought I was Crazy

In 2016/17 I opted for invisalign treatment. Prior to that, my (3) kids' orthodontist denied treating me for my overlapped front teeth saying my bite would be too thrown off. So, when a regular dentist offered invisalign I was thrilled. He first insisted I replace 4 crowns, which I did before the first tray. My treatment ended in less than a year and I LOVED my smile and new zirconium crowns $$$. However, a few months after reaching maintenance, a molar became infected (decades old root canal) and required extraction, followed by another (one of the new crowns above a root canal) a year later, and recently two other of the replaced crowns required root canal re-treats and in one case an entirely new "extended" crown, which calls for cutting back the gum. On top of that painful and expensive procedure, in order to replace the extracted, infected root canaled molars (that 2 endos declared unsalvageable), I've begun a sinus lift and bone graft for implants. One of the bone grafts is the second try since most likely the first doc didn't do his right (now using different doc). In my heart I believe all my problems began with replacing those crowns and doing invisalign. One endo questioned why the dentist replaced crowns BEFORE straightening rather than AFTER. I asked the dentist the same thing myself and was told he TAUGHT invisalign and he knew what he was doing. I never smoke, don't drink to excess, I eat well, get lots of exercise, and am not overweight. I feel now that the vanity of wanting a straight smile (had one for ages, but shifted with age) got me into a chain of dental scenarios I couldn't even imagine before. Not even sure if I should quit wearing the retainers because they're causing damage as I go. Who even tells us this? No dentists seem to be checking on these complaints or acknowledging there are any issues. Sad. Anyone else experiencing these horrible results?

I am writing you begging for assistance, I have purchased an Invisalign treatment in October 2019 paid in full, from the clinic Dental Star Invisalign, for a few months now, the clinic is not replying to any media communication and has denied sending me the new aligners need it to carry on the treatment, I have been contacting by your customer service but nothing happened, since two weeks ago week with my lawyer we started an official complaint but the clinic is still not responding, so we will be forced to go on a court of law but this is going to be a long process. I have been communicating with your legal office at maguirre@***.com but no one reply. Please I beg you to get in touch with me or send me any contacts of someone responsible, I need to know what clinic can terminate the treatment under the Invisalign warranty and it would be of great help if you could send me the next few aligners so that I can carry on the treatment, I have been already using the last aligners for a month, but please it is urgent and since the clinic, it is not cooperating would you kindly respond.

My experience has been a disaster. I m going on wearing these things over a year and 56 trays later my issues still arent fixed. Part of the blame can be on me for not being more vocal about the finished look after my first 46 trays. I accepted my doctors recommendation to cover my issue with bonding which has fallen off 3 times. I decided to straighten my teeth correctly(like I should have originally) going back to have aligners fix my issue. All I had was a small .3mm gap in front that I was trying to close which was difficult to see unless you were pretty close. Unfortunately I paid $4k originally and another $1k 5 years later to improve my problem. 10 trays into the second round Invisalign was unable to close a gap and is now asking for more. I have tried contacting them through multiple channels receiving no response. I m moving on to a different lab, suggest the same.

Allegedly illegal sales practices

Went to an orthodontist for teeth straightening ( lower front teeth crowding ) and correcting bite . "Dental technicians" working in the practice are really sales people trying to sell you invisalign instead of steel braces because they make more profit $$$ from invisalign as opposed to steel braces, ( currently a criminal investigation into invisalign and other clear aligners through AHPRA ) . I spent $7500 and 18 months with invisalign which i now regret i should have got steel braces instead. Invisalign caused gingivitis/ periodontal disease and cost me gum recession .

Thank you! I asked about cleaning the tray, and my ortho said, "They don't really get dirty." Also, they put on permanent brackets! So much for the braces being "virtually invisible." Off to see if I can join a class-action lawsuit.

AHPRA investigation, recently cleared invisalign, but that just means they have good lawyers and deep pockets $$$, invisalign still a very dodgy company with a very dodgy product , steel braces are the only way to go for reliability and safety of your health and wellbeing . I think you should try and peruse your class action, if that fails just post this website to your community facebook chat sites .

Thank you for replying Invisalign. Recently I have found out that this is actually the dentist who is the problem.

Apologies for my misunderstanding (I believed Invisalign planned treatment) the dentist concerned led me to believe that for 3 months.

Seriously, I feel you should stop him providing your brand. I have decided to stop treatment and have reported the dentist to the GDC, the governing body in UK.I now have a refund but worry about his ability to practice.

Still not heard from Invisalign despite complaining directly to my dentist and it being forwarded to Invisalign. I wonder if they are scared they will be sued???

I am making a complaint through my dentist tomorrow at my appointment also

Updated by user Nov 08, 2019

I would like someone to contact me and resolve my complaint. Without effective complaints procedure for the ultimate customer, it is a shame someone has to go to such long lengths to try and resolve a problem. The game of chinese whispers is a big part of the problem. This is a medical procedure and it deserves proper information and due care from the outset.I feel Invisalign are liable under the human rights act.

My first round made it seem like my teeth would be perfect in just 14 trays. They were not and my bite was out by some way. Overjet 4.7mm. In round 2 after being way to trusting in round one, (please do not trust the fast playing clincheck video, take time to study it properly, your dentist doesn't do this for you) I started reviewing the video's properly. First they narrowed my jaw even though it was my express reason for treatment to widen it. To date I have had at 11 clinchecks and only one has the correct bite relationship. Clincheck planners are very bad. I CAN NOT EXPRESS ENOUGH, IF YOU USE INVISALIGN, TAKE CONTROL OF WHAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR MOUTH ESPECIALLY IF YOU NEED IPR. I am having panic attacks from this experience. Having trouble complaining because they won't let me complain because I am not an Invisalign customer. My dentist has to take a complaint when he is as frustrated as I am. He doesn't seem to complain to Invisalign and I am trying to raise this with the practice manager.

Been in this for a day and am mortified. I have HIGHLY visible and embarrassing permanent brackets.

Despite what they say, they are NOT "tooth colored," and they are NOT "barely noticeable"! I asked several times about keeping a tray in 22 hours/day without cleaning them. Now I'm reading about people who ended up with gum disease. I'm in a wedding.

I need a professional headshot for work. I'm in tears.

Don’t

I went in for minor correction chose Invisalign biggest mistake I ever made they are so unprofessional they made my teeth worse than they were before I had to find another doctor and it took years to correct what Invisalign tried to do

Resolved: Overpriced, no results, rude service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have already had braces 2x and got invisalign to fix one tooth (my upper left canine) that had shifted and was now hitting my bottom tooth. That's it.

After 2 years, not only is the tooth not fixed, but my bite doesn't close properly anymore, and my bottom front teeth that were bonded with a metal retainer previously and were straight, now look crooked. I now have to get a full set of regular braces on. I expressed my discontent with the service that I was provided and was told basically that despite getting no results and being more unhappy/uncomfortable with my bite and smile than when I began, that I still owe them the money (I am paying monthly) even though I was promised at the beginning that this particular doctor's work was "guaranteed" and he failed with my teeth. I really did not anticipate that it would mess up teeth that were already straight before, I'm not sure why it was even being adjusted because it was perfect to begin with.

I did not even ask for a full refund, but simply to not have to continue paying monthly for services not rendered since my issue did not get resolved and I have to still get a full set of regular braces now after 2 years of invisalign. They said no. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Their refund and cancellation policy needs to be better explained upfront as well to prevent this kind of heartache later on in situations like mine.

Other issues that i had - inexperienced techs working on my mouth causing me pain and dragging out my appointments, appointments never started on time (always 20 mins late at least, I almost got up and left once because I go to appointments during work and I'm expected to be back at a reasonable time), and super rude orthodontist who was really arrogant and dismissed my concerns whenever I tried to talk with him about how uncomfortable I was. The whole thing was one huge mistake and I regret signing up for Invisalign and paying an arm & a leg to get treated really poorly and not get the results I wanted.
